What to expect at Western European History in the New Year.

I guess I can't write about Christmas much longer. As much as that thought saddens me, I have begun thinking about my 2008 goals here at Suite101. I have just celebrated my one year mark at Suite, and looking back on my work, I am happy to see improvements throughout the year. A majority of 2007 has been dedicated to The Renaissance and Reformation, one of my favorite time periods. In 2008, however, I am challenging myself to write out of my comfort zone. I have already ventured into less safe territory, with series on Germany and Prussia.

In 2008 be on the look out for a series about The Enlightenment (something I haven't given much thought to since reading Candide in high school) The French Revolution, and a look into some Scandinavian history, since those countries always seem to get overlooked.

Thanks to my wildly popular articles on Renaissance Fashion, I am also working on series on fashion during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.

If there is anything you'd like to know more about, please let me know!
